Plumpy’nut® product has been produced in Ethiopia by Hilina Enriched Food since 1st January 2007.

In 2006, nearly 50 000 children were treated for malnutrition with the Plumpy’nut® product made locally by the members of the Plumpy’nut in the field® network (Niger, Malawi and DRC). This year, the availability of the Plumpy’nut® product should be extended with new producers due to enter the network.
